College Accommodation : Prime Medical College is a seven storied building. All the administrative and academic activities are going on here. This is a very spacious building with modern structural design. All the modern facilities of an ideal medical educational institute are available here. The out look of the college building is very beautiful. Every floor has a capacity of approximately 25,000 sft. There are adequate number or teachers and other staffs in this college. At present the college has capacity of teaching about 150 students per year.
Class Rooms : There are 4 large fully air-conditioned Galleries with multimedia and digital sound system for lectures. In addition, there are department tutorial rooms attached with the respective departments. The Anatomy Dissection Hall has 7 bodies for dissection. The laboratories of various departments like Pathology, etc are well equipped with instruments.
Audiovisual Equipment : Each class is provided with overhead projector, slide projector and microphone system. In addition, multimedia projectors and computers are also available for teaching.
Teaching Methods : Teaching is imported through lectures, demonstration, tutorials, ward clinics, practical classes, field visits, guided study tours and surveys on health problems. Monthly clinical meetings are held on a regular basis. Teaching aids such as overhead projectors, slide projectors, multimedia projectors, television with VCR and videocassettes, computers with teaching CD’s are used in the teaching of students.
Hostel Accommodation:
The College has two separate hostels for both male and female student under the college administration near college campus. Residential facilities for each student bed, table and chair, 24 hours supply of water, electricity & Landry services are available. Breakfast, Lunch & diner are arranged considering the test and religious issues in view. Hostel common room has the facilities like T.V with Cable connection. Students get homely environment for studies within strong discipline monitored by the college administration.
Medical Education Unit (MEU): MEU has modern computers, printers (Leaser, Ink-jet), scanner, internet and e-mail facilities. The computers are freely available to the students. The MEU has MEDLINE Database (1966 to current) on DVD/CD ROM with further access to the National Library of Medicine (NLM) in USA through the Internet.]
Canteen : There is a large and modern canteen in the college campus facilitate with quality foods and beverages for students & Teachers.
Transportation : The college have Micro-bus, mini-bus, bus for students transporting, field visit and recreation visit.
Weekend Facilities : The College has its fleet of transport which can be used on payment basis by the group of students both foreign and local for outside sight seeing visit, picnic, pleasure trip etc. In the weekend with permission of the college authority.
Auditorium : College has a large multipurpose air condition auditorium with sitting capacity fifteen hundred people, which is situated in the top floor. There are adequate spaces for cooking and refreshment attached to it. It is used for cultural and co-curricular activities, seminar, workshops etc.
Teachers-Guardians Meet : Academic Council and Guardians Advisory Committee meet when necessary. They discuss all aspects of academic matters of the college and suggest measures for improving the academic environment and total improvement of teaching in the college.
Guardians Participation : Guardians Advice on the college affairs is welcome. There exists Guardians Advisory Committee, which meets once in four months. There is one representative of guardians in the Governing Body. Guardians are communicated regularly about their children’s academic performance and class attendance. They are often invited to put forward suggestions on how to improve the performance of the students. The Members of the Committee are selected annually from the guardians of the students.
Library: College has a enrich library located on the Ground floor. The library has a collection of over 1,000 Text books of latest addition, references, monographs & journals in various subjects, magazines and newspapers. The library provides updated information to students and teachers. The library reading room can accommodate about 30 students at a time. Students and teachers can also borrow text books for use at home. Very recently internet connection has been provided in the library so that students can download recent scientific materials. The library remains open 8am to 4pm except holidays. There is also scope of having Scanner Machine for copies.
Common Room: There is common room for students with daily news paper and some indoor games.
Extra Curricular Activities:
There are facilities for extra curricular activities like Indoor/outdoor games, cultural programs, free blood donation camp, distribution of winter cloths, observation of national & International days etc. Debates, seminars and cultural events are held regularly.
Medical Facilities: Prime Medical College Hospital with 750 beds and modern machinery is available for students where indoor and outdoor both medical facilities are free. Beside these their relatives can get medical treatments at low costs.
Conference Room: There is a conference room having arrangement of sitting of 20 people. This is situated in the ground floor of the college building.
